What is Locked Up Ladies?
With too many prison pen pal websites primarily focused on male inmates, we wanted to create a site focused exclusively on women in prison. We feature profiles from women of all ages, all ethnicities, and from all walks of life, all with one thing in common: incarceration.
It’s free to browse profiles. Female inmates who are VIP members can receive one free message from you, directly through our website. For all other female prisoners, you’ll need to either write to them via postal mail (each inmate will have a mailing address displayed in their profile) or send them an email message through their facility’s messaging platform (such as GettingOut, Securus, CorrLinks, or JPay).
In today’s world, inmates receive less snail mail than ever before. We hope to change that, by promoting Locked Up Ladies to people from all walks of life, all around the world, as we strive to connect free-world pen pals with incarcerated females. Both can (and will) benefit from the power of connection, friendship, and letter-writing.
